[ ] Introduce linked inputs with Renewables example?
[ ] Target users to include decision support, policy makers, publishers, journalists, scientists
[ ] Example of aggregating/deaggregating IPCC report for more local/global view
[ ] Closing slide
[ ] Syntax highlighting (or other highlighting?) on code examples

[x] [Achintya] Say that one of the objectives here is to see if people have data vis problems in VESRI that Fluid could be applied to and that that we could collaborate with them on? – Roly has added to closing slides.
[x] [Achintya] Many people in the audience will be climate modellers (e.g.,
scientists far from the public/policy coal face), contextualise with “…if you’re ever in a situation where
you want to produce plots and results that could be used to inform the public or policy, or even just a blog post or material for outreach or an impact case study” – Mention during Roly’s closing slides.
[x] [Achintya] AR6 is “Sixth Assessment Report” (not Annual Review)
[x] [Achintya] “work with journalists” What about civil servants writing policy documents / white papers / internal briefings? Narrative has changed.
[ ] [Roly] “You could program these transparency queries yourself” - highlight a huge amount of work to do manually and would obscure the model code as well
[ ] [Roly] Unicode characters in code potentially confusing? [Actually these are FiraCode ligatures.]
[ ] [Roly] Will people be able / have a chance to try it themselves, e.g. on the website or by building locally? [Should be doable, main annoyance here is that the UI on develop is currently broken on Firefox!]
[ ] [Roly] Is there enough here for it to be clear whether someone’s story could fit? What are you going to offer them. What can they look at afterwards to gauge possibility? [Maybe expand a bit on closing slide?]
[ ] [Roly] How do they contact you? Or where to go (later?) to try it out? [Add to closing slide]
Done/dropped:
[x] [Achintya] Tweaks to Motivating Problems
[x] Sharper figure for the bogus data sources CSV – AR: We’ll need to host images elsewhere. Will return to this.
[x] [Achintya] Briefly give background on convolution using Distill article to anticipate Roly’s demo later
Record run-through for final tweaks?
explorable-viz/fluid#1024
explorable-viz/fluid#1020
explorable-viz/fluid#1021
[Convolution example] Mock up interim 3x3 array?
Other ways to contribute (e.g. extending d3.js data binding)
[x] [Roly] Make first demo with renewable energy graph larger
[x] [Roly] Make your cursor larger for demos
[x] Decide how to toggle between full-screen demo and full-screen presentation
[x] Diagram for How does it work? slide
[x] [Achintya] Just a thought: the CSV with the dud data for the hexbin figure now seems to illustrate a slightly different point from “Understanding and Evaluating”. Although the dud data is a great example of an open source failure, maybe this slide would be better used to illustrate the idea of interacting with a specific layer of a visualisation (e.g. “Confidence in human attribution”) to understand specifically what data was relevant to just that aspect of an output? (Which aligns with “Understanding and Evaluating”, and feeds more specifically into the kinds of things we want to do with Fluid. I could then potentially refer back to this example later.) – AR: REWORKED FLOW based on in-person conversation with @rolyp
