Both the FAQ & the README suggest email as a way to contact; But I've not had a response to an email that was sent two weeks ago.

I feel that github issues would evoke more activity and through transparency encourage others to contribute as well, no? I'd recommend the https://opensource.guide/ as a helpful resource :)
