Setup issue: configuration- Login failure after selecting Phone/text #45

After logging in with a verified Un/Pw, at the Phone/text screen, after submitting, receive “Unknown Error” when trying to configure the Integration.

Please advise.

Do you have any errors in your log? Maybe we can narrow it down with those.

No I ntries in the logs, since the Integration isn’t fully installed yet. (When I click on HA log tab). If there are other logs, lmk where, and I’ll share them. I am just as stumped,… Thank you.

Ok. Let me see if I can replicate this and see what is going on.

I tested this on a clean install and selected phone like your instance shows and I am unable to get the unknown error. When you sign into the kwikset app, you select phone to get the SMS for the key code?

Im reporting the same error on my end

I was getting this error when trying to use a mobile browser (safari on ipad) but it worked if i used a desktop browser.

Desktop (Win- Edge) is being used. Also tried iPad. Same result.

What is your HA version? I want to make sure I am on the same version when I test.

Upgraded to beta version, same result. Tried alternate browsers, same result. Verified credentials, same result. Cleared browser cache, same result. Rebooted HASS every time.

Please advise.

I am going to move this back to the issue you created.

You get the same error when choosing email or phone?

I see that this issue just got closed as stale yesterday, but I was having trouble with the Kwikset integration today and tried deleting and re-setting it up, and ran into this issue.

For anyone else who this might help:

The kwikset login email is case-sensitive. You can check in the kwikset app what it has for your email to make sure it matches.
