Discussed in https://github.com/expressjs/express/discussions/5709

Originally posted by **vvalderrv** June 18, 2024 I would like to request a meeting to provide an introduction and overview of the Sovereign Tech Fund (STF) initiative. This meeting will offer valuable insights into our goals, processes, and the benefits of the STF. Additionally, we will document and discuss the Express infrastructure inventory and requirements. Please let me know your preferred method of communication, either through this GitHub issue or via email, so we can coordinate the details. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to your response. Vanessa Valderrama The Linux Foundation vvalderrama@linuxfoundation.org

Super interested in learning more about this.

based on discussion in slack, sounds like they are working already with other groups, and I'd love to hear what resources they can offer ❤️

Sorry for the delayed response, still churning through notifications from being OOO. I am also on board with doing this. How should we proceed @vvalderrv?

We need to do some preparation work offline, specifically filling out an Excel file with detailed information about our current infrastructure. This will provide the IT team with the full context, enabling us to discuss and identify how we can improve our current setup, as well as address blockers or challenges, such as adding 2FA to GitHub Actions for npm publications and other similar tasks.

I'm happy to help with the Excel mapping, as I did a similar exercise with Node.js last year. Our infrastructure is much simpler since we primarily use GitHub Actions and NPM to distribute our libraries. However, we will need to document details such as domain and DNS ownership, among other things so I will need your support on these areas as I don't have the historical context.

Ah ok sounds like you have this well in hand! Awesome! Should we be keeping a list of these "admin" things we need to do?
