Add a "Careers" Page for Backend (Express.js) and Node.js Jobs #282

Hi @expressjs/express-tc

I was reviewing some PRs in the React repo and came across a draft related to a "Careers" page. I found this initiative interesting, and I believe that if we implement something similar on expressjs.com, we could see several benefits.

The process would be simple: Companies looking to hire for backend positions involving express.js and the Node.js ecosystem would send an email to an address like careers@expressjs.com. After a basic verification process, these job postings would be added to expressjs.com/en/resources/careers.html.

Benefits of this initiative:

Resource for Developers: This page would serve as a valuable resource for developers seeking career opportunities within the Node.js ecosystem and could be a pioneering effort in this type of innovation.

Attracting Talent: By showcasing companies that use Express.js, we can help attract talent to our ecosystem, ultimately benefiting the framework’s growth and adoption.

Community Engagement: It would strengthen the connection between the Express.js community and companies, helping developers find opportunities that match their skills.

Multilingual Adaptation: Our multilingual website allows us to adapt the careers section for various languages and locations.

Showcasing Industry Leadership: Featuring job opportunities from companies that utilize Express.js would position the framework as a currently relevant leader in the industry, attracting attention from developers and organizations alike.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this idea and discuss how we can move forward. Thank you for considering this proposal!

The idea is interesting, although I’m afraid it would be difficult to maintain this page. Something similar could happen as with the community resources page — which ones should we include? This is an issue that hasn’t been resolved yet (see expressjs/expressjs.com#988), and I believe we opted to remove third-party resources, as it feels like promoting companies that take advantage of Express’s visibility but don’t give anything in return. Correct me if I’m wrong.

@UlisesGascon, maybe this issue should be moved to the discussions repository.

I like the idea, @juliogarciape, but I agree with @bjohansebas. Overall, maintaining a "careers/job offers" page will take time away from the project. React will probably include only job offers (careers) related to Meta, as they own the framework (see), so it makes sense in their case.

@UlisesGascon I understand, and that was also the challenge that crossed my mind, not just the maintenance aspect but also what @bjohansebas mentioned, where potentially many companies could take advantage of Express's visibility as a framework without offering mutual benefit.

So, if in the future this proposal becomes a reality, I would like to focus on seeking positions or jobs that directly or indirectly benefit Express and its business relationships with partner companies or sponsors.

I believe this is a more useful approach that benefits not only Express but also its partners, and consequently adds extra value to any commercial relationship looking to be established with Express.
