Hey extendr Team,

How about we create a list in the extendr docs with known packages using extendr in the backend (smth like awesome list)? It could be a neat way for users to see how versatile extendr is in real projects and give some inspiration.

For example we can do smth as follows (headers from https://github.com/qinwf/awesome-R)

Thank you! I'd note that vctrsrs is more of an experiment!

I'll add a few more packages below that I'm aware of and have made myself:

Two of my R packages for work are now using extendr under the hood. {arcgisutils} - https://github.com/R-ArcGIS/arcgisutils/ {arcgisplaces} - https://github.com/R-ArcGIS/arcgisplaces

Do we want to create a separate repo for this and then link to it via extendr.github.io? Or should we handle the listing here?

Great question! We can probably do a better job of figuring out these packages. I wonder if we can explore the CRAN DB and look for the presence of Config/rextendr/version:
