This app is magic!
I keep finding fun new settings that make sharing text shots and urls better. Highlighting in text shot images, url shorteners, and composing preferences bring Linky to the next level.
The one thing that would bring it to 5 stars for me would be syncing settings between devices.
Glad to see an update
App works as intended, glad to see a new update.
Don’t Take My Word “TRY IT”!!
Normally I’m not leaving reviews—unless I can really say to my self; “I can appreciate the usefulness of this app.
✌️👍 WAY TO GO! Creators designers & developers. I appreciate the app, now you just have to connect a few more dots—now posting is universal. Keep them UPDATES coming ™️@Wriderx47🐢
Linky is great
Best sharing app ever, wish the dev made Linky for macOS. I really miss Linky when I post from macOS.
Great!
Any chance for supporting Vero?
Unique a must have
Works when others fail
Text Shots haven’t worked for a long time.
That’s it, title.
To expand on this. I bought this app a long time ago specifically for Text Shots. They worked briefly, but after an iOS upgrade, can’t remember which one, they stopped, disappeared, aren’t even an option. I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled, setup as new, used different devices. The feature is broken.
I redownload Linky periodically to see if it’s fixed, try it, then delete the app and forget about it until I want to share a huge chunk of text in a tweet. Then the cycle begins anew.
I’d love to be able to recommend this app, but it just doesn’t work.
Edit: After reviewing their in-app tutorial, I’ve also noticed it does not copy URLs or titles and consequently will not offer to insert them. At the moment, all this app does is copy a paragraph, toss it into a share sheet and highlight most of it as red because it’s too big to tweet. Lol, it’s worse than I remembered.
powerful
This simple app is worth every cent if you’re delivering news on Twitter. Although I haven’t figured out how to use the annotation features, the text clipping and image attaching features are just what I’ve needed. It’s at the front of my share sheet.
Must have app- and perfectly designed
Couldn’t imagine a better designed app
😍😍❤️😍😍
Best share sheet app! I love it!
Just what I needed...almost
I was looking for a consistent method of posting links to my social media, including photos if needed. Linky definitely does the job! There is one thing, though...I would like a universal dark/night mode!
Must have for Twitter & Mastodon users
If you do any amount of link or image sharing to Twitter and/or Mastodon this is a great tool to have. Much better and feature rich experience than any Twitter app.
It’s actually a great way to cross-post to both Twitter and Mastodon even if it’s just a text post.
Fantastic app, wish it supported more services
I love it for sharing links and music to Mastodon, the app extension is great. I just wish it supported more services, especially Tumblr and Micro.blog. LinkedIn would be a good idea too.
Use it every day!
So useful! So easy! So awesome! And it keeps getting better and better.
Great app!
Love being able to post to twitter and Mastodon from one place. Very elegant and simple! Thanks !
Fantastic
Great little utility
A Must Have
I really really love this app. It allows me to share content to Twitter easily and rapidly with a lot of options to customize what I am sharing. Any chance this app can come to the Mac now that the share sheets are gone for Twitter?
Doesn’t work on Facebook like they said
The text says it works on Facebook so I purchased the app. However afterwards I noticed the fine print says it no longer works with Facebook. After they took my money. Dirty.
False Advertisement
This app can no longer be connected to Facebook or Pages. $4 to post in TWO places. No thanks. I want my money back.
Daily used app rocks!
It just works. I use both Masto and Twitter, so this app is perfect for me. I love how it grabs photos too from articles. The share extension is where this app really shines. I'd give this app 6 stars if I could. It's all about quickly sharing a link or post and moving on. Thank you for this app!
No facebook
Top review talks about facebook, but read the app description. It is not supported.
Facebook r
I spent $3.99 thinking that this app could still connect to Facebook. I only learned about it after opening the app (which I had purchased already). Now I have no use for an app which I spent $3.99 dollars for. Is there a way to have my money I refunded?
This is future changing for sure.
The new way to express ones self! Thank yoy
Still the best way to post to Twitter
Losing Facebook access was disappointing but this app is still the best way to post to Twitter.
Worthless without FB Page
This app is worthless to me now that Facebook has denied access from Linky to Facebook Pages as 90% of my usage was posting to my business Twitter account and Facebook Page. Without this capability there is simply no benefit to my using this app.
Can you credit me back my money?
If not, do you intend to notify users if FB allows your app to post to FB Pages?
Excellent addition for social media managers
Makes post from the web look great on any platform. I rarely leave reviews, but this app is a staple of the social media generation and or those who work with social media.
This app is legit. So glad I found it.
I don’t leave reviews that often. But this app needs to be given props. I share a lot of links to a lot of platforms. The features this app provides are amazing and so simple to use. Thank you!!!!
even better than you think
yes, it links articles, photos, almost anything easily to twitter and facebook. even better is that it has the text photo option: select text and hit the share extension and the highlight is captured as a photo (which you easily change back to text if that’s your preference. and EVEN BETTER, is that once you hit the linky extension, it has it’s own sharing extension!!! sharing within sharing. SO, i can find link a text photo with the link and title easily to say Day One or some other capture app.
SO GOOD. i am still discovering ways to use it.
Updated Review - 3 stars after reviewing the tutorial
I purchased & downloaded this because of the reviews and the authors’ ads saying it would help me putting quoted text and graphics, along with links on Facebook posts. That would be great! But the first few times I tried I couldn’t. The developer pointed me to a simple tutorial on using Linky, but I haven’t had time to wade through that yet.
I revised this rating from 1 to 3 stars after reviewing the tutorial. Without a tutorial you may never get to use it
Very Practical
Facebook removed the iOS share option for fan pages, but this app fixes that, including the ability to select multiple images. Superb!
Surprisingly useful on more ways than expected!
Great tool i could no longer live without ☺️
Awesome app
I really like the way Linky gets an image from the story and automatically adds it to your Tweet. The best way to share on Twitter!
The best link app, and now the easier Text Shot one
Update: One year later, this app continues to deliver great incremental updates. Without a doubt the most bang for the buck I've had from an AppStore purchase.
I love how this app has evolved with the platform: urlschemes, extension and now… text shots.
This one trick pony has become an one trick power app for anything link related (I sometimes use the extension just to grab the text to paste in messages or emails).
This is a great app
Honestly, this could be my most used app. I'm always sharing links on FB and Twitter and Linky makes it super easy. It formats the title correctly to accompany the link. To the dev, thanks for keeping this app alive with updates! 👍
Couldn't Live without Linky
Linky may be one of the best examples of where iOS can be made more efficient in posting to Twitter and Facebook. It is a fantastic App - a must have if into social networks. Since using Linky, my MacBook has been gathering a lot of dust!
So good
Bitly's poor app redesign opened the door for Linky to take over as my link sharing app of choice. It is customizable to fit my needs and works everywhere on iOS. The ability y to add a photo to tweets is my favorite feature. It is the best app I purchased in 2016.
So good I just wish it also worked on my desktop
I use this every day and my only complaint is that there isn't a version for OS X. Update: love link in-shortening in the new version!
Not what I was looking for
Can ONLY share to Twitter and Facebook. I do not have Twitter and do not want to share publicly. So wasted my money on this app. It does specify in description, so my error. Wish I could e-mail myself or some other way to save links privately. Deleting.
Don't Drop App.net Support
I like this app, and the primary reason I use it is for its ability to share to ADN. The App•net API is decidedly stable :) and so hopefully not too much of a burden to maintain support for. I hope Pragmatic Code reconsiders its plans to drop ADN support. Otherwise, I'll have to find (or make) a replacement.
Linky is superb
I've only used this app for one day (as I have just purchased it) and already it's a vital gem. This app saves loads of thought and effort time if you share things constantly. I truly, only have one suggestion. That's to develop a send later functionality. I find myself doing a bulk of research at one time and thus sharing a lot of links back to back, when I'd prefer them to be spaced out.
Solves a problem; needs tweaking
I tweet a lot. Probably too much. Most of my tweets are links to interesting things I find online... a human-curated RSS feed. The sequence of copying text in Safari, sharing with the (buggy) Apple Twitter extension, editing the format, etc. is a cycle I've repeated thousands of times. Linky on iOS 8 makes it painless. "Duo" mode even lets me cross-post to my nearly-abandoned App.net account.
But it needs some tweaks. One star off for not supporting geotagging of tweets. And another star off for the illegible labels, buttons, and overall ignoring of Apple's accessibility settings. You need to memorize the button positions, because you sure can't read them.
My version of Tweetdeck for iOS at least for links
Great well done app to share with confidence on multiple accounts.
Great app
Very well executed app that offers super simple sharing across accounts and social platforms. I would love to see a scheduling function and the ability to reshare past links shared. Would gladly purchase inapp for these features!
Great utility
Great to post with pictures to both networks from the iOS share sheet.
Lost $4
It does not work. Can't link any account. Cant even sign up. Literally got my $4 stolen. And I can't get it back. If I could sue I would.
Usable with VoiceOver! Love this app!
I enjoy using the app to share content with friends. I also like the customization settings that allows one to choose a URL shortener, and search engine. I recommend others use this app, if you find yourself sharing articles or other web content to social media or directly with friends/associates. Also, it's totally usable with VoiceOver, so many thanks to the developer for adding accessibility enhancements so quickly.
Totally awesome link shortened! 👍
Gone are the days of bitly. This is now my new go-to link shortener. The app is fun and simple to use and integrates very well with Twitter, which is my primary use for the app. Great work developers. Hope to see other perks along the way. This one is a keeper!
Workflow god send
This has forever changed the way I use my iPhone and iPad. Now I just need them to make an app for Mac.
Sharing links and texts have never been so easy, and I love how I can access it from anywhere.
Linky
It's very good web surfing and versatile !
Nice app
Does what it says, but wish I could cross post to all social media. Currently you can only do two.

Description
Linky lets you easily share webpage links, images and text extracts to Twitter and Mastodon from your iPhone and iPad.
Write your post, choose which preferred social networks and Linky will do the rest! You can connect Linky to Twitter and Mastodon.
Linky's very own iOS Share Extension allows you to post messages without ever leaving third-party applications.
Want to share a webpage Link? Linky can insert both the url and the title of the webpage as required. Linky will suggest images related to shared links and can attach them to your messages. It can also shorten links, giving you access to further link analytics.
How about selected text in Safari? Linky's Web Clipper extracts selected text and carries it over to the composer sheet, ready for you to edit. You can also make a text shot from the text selection for sharing as a beautiful image.
What about a great photo? Share images easily from Photos app and third-party applications. You can also preview the shared image in fullscreen before sending it.
Share any text too! Bring up the extension, the text is copied in the message, edit if required and share. It's that simple.
Use Markup to annotate, crop and edit images inline. Write or draw on the attachment, or add arrows and lenses, or obscure sensitive information.
"Linky 5.0 removes friction from sharing links, quotes, and images. I appreciate the intelligent use of Open Graph and Twitter Cards to save even more time, and I'm a fan of the deeper controls Linky brings when compared to the default share sheet of Twitter. I can't recommend Linky enough." - MacStories
"Linky turbocharges sharing links and images to Twitter from Safari or other apps supporting iOS extensions." 4/5 - Macworld

Developer Contact
@benoitsan hi Benoit! I've been working on adding Linky to my repository collecting iOS apps for Mastodon and noticed that the Dropbox link to the press kit appears to be broken. is there any way I could grab that from you?
