hello,

having issues with the i2p in private browsing extension. I connect the extension and the 'proxy is not ready' message displays forever. i am unable to go to any i2p sites.

how do i connect the proxy so that it is 'ready'? i have exhausted all resources here..

do i need to adjust any settings on the actual browser? i thought that it was all self-contained.

Oh gosh I'm sorry about how long this has taken, I've been on the road pretty much non-stop for the past 2 weeks. Almost all self contained(Do I use that language somewhere else? I know others have before and I might need to more actively discourage it). You still need an I2P router running on the host system somewhere. I2P In Private Browsing works best with Java I2P but is also compatible with i2pd. https://geti2p.net/en/download has instructions for downloading and installing Java I2P.

Hypothetically in some far-flung and extravagant future there is a sort of I2P-like thing that could technically run in a browser and talk to the rest of the I2P network could exist, but it does not exist today. This plugin encapsulates a reasonable browser configuration but cannot contain the I2P router itself.
