Second endings etc. #1

Should we repeat an entire bracket when a second ending (pointing finger) or other complex structure (star) is notated?

Option 1 is to put these repetitions into the encoding files manually/literally. Con: This is something we can't unwind; we would not be able to reproduce the notation PDFs from the encoding files. Pro: it's much easier.

Option 2 is to find an appropriate way to encode these repeat signs in the encoding files.

In general, there is no harm in writing it all out with the second ending as long as the repeat signs get removed. It is not always the case that the whole thing is repeated twice in performance situations, but we are basing this on notation and so there is no harm in being complete.
