I've taken a look at the documentation and as far as I can tell, the approach taken here is to provide Android Auto with the privileges it needs to function, likely regardless of how you're using it.
It might make sense for there to be some description or tooltip explaining that, as that is different from how e.g. GrapheneOS does it, where there are toggles that you can enable that provide the least amount of permissions possible according to how you want to use it (for example, wired Android Auto requires much, much less than wireless Android Auto).
