What's the difference between this and the stable-diffusion-webui Checkpoint Merger

There really isn't a difference in terms of functionality right now. If automatic1111's checkpoint merger works for you, there is no reason to switch to this one.
This project allowed you to merge models before the feature was implemented in automatic1111's webui.
