Driver not supported on Windows 8 #1040

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install the arduino communications drivers on Windows 8  (64 bit)
2.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The driver fails to install. 
"The third-party INF does not contain digital signature information"

What version of the Arduino software are you using? On what operating
system?  Which Arduino board are you using?
Windows 8 Pro 64 bit
Arduino 1.0.1

Please provide any additional information below.

There are work arounds but the driver needs to be signed.

A signed driver is available here:

http://downloads.arduino.cc/arduino_drivers_win_signed_test1.zip

this is a all-in-one driver for all boards that is going to replace the old 
ones: please test it on EVERY windows box you own (also XP, Vista, 7 etc.), and 
report back if it is working.

I love it, it was the help on an terrible run in Windows 8.

Merged upstream, the new drivers will be available from the next release (1.0.4 
and 1.5.2)
