yes sure ;-) PR is welcome :D might not be that easy because the composer.json will exist only later so that would require a small re organization of the init command.

But I agree that would make more sense.

I dirty fixed it quickly cause Ivo reached out and that was to actually enables Netgen Media to work with Launchpad right away.

I will do it if you don't have time, but probably not tomorrow.

I'll keep you posted.

PR will be kinda tough for me right now as I don't have a dev environment ready for Launchpad, but there is no need to hurry if you wish to do it.
