AI spawn on random places. #113

AI are spawning in random places which are not related to mission positions. Yesterday i updated infistar, which is provided by GTX. I haven't seen such behaviour earlier. mod is overpoch, map is napf

I have an Overpoch Napf server running InfiSTAR (from Chris the original developer who writes InfiSTAR so no idea what GTX has done to it) and I've got no such problems. I have noticed though that if you have too much spawning at once occasionally it'll place some men in the water at the bottom left of the map, is this what's happening?

Unfortunately this isnt the issue, they spawn on completely diferent location... for example yesterday two groups have spawned below hero trader airfield, other time one group spawned on the island in south west. Now i have a Ural Attack near neue welt and some AI are on mission and some are west from hero airfield..

Are you sure that's not leftover AI from other missions? Also what version are you running and what other kind of AI mods do you have installed.

Try disabling Infistar and possible other AI mods to see if the problem persists.

I can confirm this. We find over the course of a 4 hour restart window one or two random big groups of AI. They don't seem to be from a despawned mission. Just randomly all standing around somewhere, there is no mission objects around them or static guns.

I've have gone over the RPT and the weird thing is there is absolutely no record of them being spawned in or being included in the count of active AI.

We don't use a static spawn file and are only running WAI 2.1.4.

After further investigation of the problem i have come to this conclusion: Two bugs overlaped, first AIs spawned not on a mission site, second AIs didnt despawned after mission time out. It was hard to spot it on first sight. I didn't have much time to dig into RPT but i will do it today. Yesterday evening i have updated infistar... after one hour no disturbances ware observed. My subordinate will continue observation today. Parallel to WAI 2.1.4 we use DZMS and DZAI static spawns to populate AI city.

How did you fix this? Im running current versions of WAI, DZMS and DZAI as well as infistar, Im still in testing phases on my new server and its been up 10+ hours. I check the map and theres groups of ai ALL over the place. They arent despawning. I cant tell if their from missions or just random groups, but I doubt it has anything to do with dzai. Possible fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
