Ah, I see. I actually just finished doing the same thing, but I submitted it as a PR to the linked repo. Have you talked with the repository owner? This is a neat project, would be a waste to fracture the development of it. I'm happy to contribute there, or here, or somewhere else, so long as that is the agreed centralized repo.
I asked about maintenance of that other repo here and this is my pull request.
I haven't talked to anyone. If you manage to go ahead with your PR, please tell me so I can delete this repository and remove my package from pypi.
Cool, will do :+1: Just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed an ownership transfer or something, and contributed to the old repo. Thanks for the quick responses!
Though I am a bit worried that the package is no longer maintained, as it doesn't look like other issues or pull requests have been addressed recently. If that is the case, would be be against your repository becoming the primary?
I wouldn't be against this becoming the primary, but I think you'd serve as a better maintainer than me. I'm not currently doing NLP work and based on your github history you seem to be actively involved in it.
Yeah, I'm totally happy to take over maintenance. I'll give @aneesha some time to respond to the issue or pull request though.
Any news on this?
I have yet to hear back from the original owner. I was going to try and shoot her an email post-new years, but if she doesn't respond to that I think maintaining a fork or copy is the way to go.

Which one is now the main repository to work on?
As the Portuguese say, this has 'stayed in cod water', which means it stalled as stale as cod dipping water (for desalination). Eheh
We're still hoping to hear from @aneesha.
@fabianvf are you still up for the ownership transfer?
Yeah, I still have yet to hear anything, I think we should go ahead and make this the official repo for development, and just cite her in the README.
@tomaspinho: I'm still up for the ownership transfer.
@fabianvf Just requested it :)
@fabianvf could I have your pypi username to add you as the package owner? Thank you.
My username on pypi is also fabianvf

The same code packaged as a Python Package and installable through pip.
