I really like this editor, as it is more versatile than the only other real option on Linux, that being MarkText. I don't like Marktext because it is kind of laggy, does not integrate well with the GNOME DE, and does not offer a split view (source and preview). Split view there would be great for when the automatic formatting based on markdown gets hinky.
For the exact opposite reason, a hybrid view would make Marker near perfect! The idea is to have it format text in real time, much the way MarkText does, but still retain the existing view options available today.
