While the app supports pandoc, it's a little hard to use without some "help",
I'd propose:
[ ] autocomplete suggestions for bibtex references, after @, with already used references at the top of the list.
[ ] ability to preview individual markdown fragments without opening the preview pane (e.g. preview bibtex references/footnotes in the bottom pane on click, preview an image or latex by clicking etc.)
[ ] Paste/drag images directly into the editor.
[ ] autocompletion for links to other files in the root or media directory (relative to the makdown file).
[ ] table editor
Longer term:
templating, outlining, yaml autocompletion, makrdown file browser (all of these would allow the app to be used for taking and organizing notes).
Of course all of this functionality (and more) is available in text editors with plugins, but there is a still a use case for a pandoc markdown editor that wraps all these features in a coherent package.
I i like very much the idea, I will tag the proposal for the next development.
In this moment I'm focusing my efforts to fix many unresolved issues as well some compatibility problem.
