This was my best attempt at solving issue #49 I'm not sure how I can help update documentation, but I am willing to.

Sorry for not answering sooner (it seems the notifications weren't arriving properly for me).

Why not just create a regular git alias for this and then use it? (I think it'd have the same effect)
