This is a PR to test changes on node/bower build process. The issue comes from the fact that bower installs need certs as explained here, but are no longer accepted because of old versions.
This PR changes a few things:
removes legacy packages (angulartics and google analytics) no longer used
adds an environment variable to the build process for open-ssl-ca
fixes the test so that we can test in branches and PRs without deploying to gh pages
