10.13.1 High Sierra #15

I'm getting an error message "“MacMiner” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash." And then Sophos gives me a threat warning? Can somebody advise in dummies terms, please?

Where are you downloading it from? Works for me from here: https://github.com/fabulouspanda/MacMiner/releases

Sophos warns about all miners as potentially unwanted software but if you downloaded it yourself it should be fine (as long as it's the official copy from the page above)

I also have Sophos antivirus and even disabled the PUA in Settings. Still get the same error as @absolutebest77 .

If right clicking and choosing open doesn't bypass the issue you'll need to exclude it from quarantine by the method mentioned here: https://github.com/fabulouspanda/MacMiner/issues/16

N.B. I had a go at notarization for MacMiner and it seemed to pass without issue in Xcode but gatekeeper still doesn't like it, I think due to some of the links in the included libraries/binaries of which there are so many it would be a massive pain to go through and recompile them on the off chance it fixes this issue.
