Started with 'diverseIT', but it's so obvious that I (rightly) expected it to be already widely used. Perhaps 'equITy'? Hard to check, given that there's no change in the spelling and relies on the use of caps to make the point.
Not necessarily against the above ideas, but I'm currently still undecided about "IT" vs "Tech", and am also wary of having a name that might sound very "corporate"
Perhaps it'd make sense to leave the name question last. I think it's quite likely that our search for resources will guide us both as to how broad the sector we're referencing should be and as to the right term (i.e. 'IT' vs 'tech').
I'd personally go with whatever seems to be most widely used in the UK and encompasses the types of jobs/skills our database ends up covering. What does everyone think?
FYI, the names (incl. various spellings, with and without spaces between the terms) 'diverseIT' 'open tech' 'tech access' 'tech for all' are all already in use.
Not a particularly serious suggestion, but "You can do it"/"You can do IT"!
My previous plan for this project name was:
"You Can Code"
TechDiverse doesn't seem to have been taken by an organisation yet: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=%22techdiverse%22&ei=1HWjW4riD-XwgAaro5WgCg&start=10&sa=N&biw=1276&bih=613&dpr=1.2
