You should try the Google Lens image recognition camera which does that :) and not just for trees but anything.
@gminova There are plenty of apps that just recognise trees, leaves. What I'm after is and app/website that walks you through the process, so you are learning the leaf types, how are they categorised. The purpuse is more education then just 'google it and forget'.

Describe the problem you'd like to solve I want recognise the tree by looking at it's leaves and learn about different leaf types, arrangements. I don't want to just get a result, I want to learn as I'm beign guided recognising its features. I would like it to be able to create quizes and fun ways to solidify what I learned.
Who are the stakeholders? Everyone who wants to learn about trees, their leaves and appreciate their almost impossible variety. School children, botany amateurs (like me), curious gardeners, nature lovers.
What is currently being done to solve this problem? I know plenty of apps that let you upload the photo and get the result while you learn nothing. There are paper guides and tables that let you go through categories and types and arrangements, but this is tedious and overwhelming.
http://www.leaf-id.com comes close but still focuses on quick recognition and not learning different leaf characteristics
See below at just some characteristics of deciduous trees leaves, think of all possible combinations and be inspired! :herb:
