Easier recycling and ethical waste disposal

Describe the problem you'd like to solve What can and can't be recycled changes wildly with each local authority. It is hard to easily find out what you can recycle, where it's most convenient to recycle large items and electronics, if organic items can be composted, or if there are other easily accessible and ethical means of waste disposal.

Who are the stakeholders?

• Anyone with things to get rid of. Particularly those driven by a desire to do so in the least environmentally impacting manor, but who perhaps lack the time to work out how.
• Everyone who benefits from less pollution and less resource depletion.

What is currently being done to solve this problem? Each local authority has its own website with information on regarding recycling and rubbish. Many also link to other services for more specific items. The information is there but not conveniently accessible. It is also hard to know if services in a neighbouring borough are closer and could be used by non-residence.

Great Idea! I have personally experienced situations that I clearly do not understand in which bin to throw my rubbish and feel bad about it!

A couple of friends and I were trying to create a similar thing a few years ago, but none of us had any technical knowledge at the time and the idea got pushed aside. Definitely hope this gets made! Would use it :)

I think this is a great idea especially because I think it can educate all ages!
