Have you looked into this? It helps improve scrolling behaviour of the nav bar:

it observes if the header intersects with the main content in the viewport and helps make it look better
API clones our code to observe changes --> how do things look on viewport?

Yo, really sorry but I don't completely understand the issue that IntersectionObserver would fix, could you go into a bit more detail? Only if you have time, I know we're busy with a lot rn
