Replace "Donate to Ukraine" Banner with "Support Palestine" in ReactJS #27976

Closed alihassancods closed 3 months ago

alihassancods commented 7 months ago

The current banner on the ReactJS website prompts users to "Donate to Ukraine." The request is to update this banner to reflect a call for support to Palestine instead. This change involves altering the text and possibly the visual elements associated with the banner.

React version: 18

Steps to Reproduce:

Navigate to the area displaying the "Donate to Ukraine" banner. Identify the code responsible for rendering this banner in the ReactJS codebase. Modify the text and any related assets to reflect the message "Support Palestine." Ensure the changes are correctly implemented and display as intended in the application. Expected Behavior: After implementing the changes, the banner should now encourage users to support Palestine instead of Ukraine.

@AliCodingGuru Why not show either Palestine or Ukraine randomly.

They won't, because whites in the west stand together against the (former) Red menace and the brown muslim terrorist. Those decades of war on terror propaganda were precisely to enable apathy towards committing atrocities and funding wars against people in the middle east. So that when a war does pop off, they can act with maximum destitution. And if a war doesn't pop off, well they can just lie to manufacture a war to accomplish their goals (see: Iraq, WMD). The line is: oppose imperialism when it is by former Reds (bad), but support imperialism when it is against muslims (good). It's imperialism for thee, but not for me.

Approving this and Opposing imperialism unconditionally would be the consistent and honest thing to do here, but what does Facebook have to gain from crossing the political line? Their resources, culture, employees, etc are all tied to White American Imperialist dogma.

Even if react employees were to band together and demand a similar performative banner, they must overcome the undemocratic hierarchical capitalist structure of the corporation, where the people at the top hold ultimate say.

Edit: would love to be proven wrong, change the banner!

Guys, you can add a few more banners. Also, don’t forget about black lives matter and the environment too! LGBTQ++++ too, please, why not? Why choose one when you can add ten or more at once? You will be like the scouts, all in badges and flags, this will definitely help!

UPD: You can add your badges for money, why not advertise Coca-Cola and Nike?

UPD 2: Let's better build in and inline an iframe broadcasting "I Support The Current Thing" propaganda from TV 24/7?

UN already funded millions (if not billions) for Palestine people, what happened is Hamas took all of that from them. Can't You fight internal enemy Hamas which also funded by global terrorist RF? If people will donate for Palestine again: will it be used for people or again arm Hamas? Why world must pay to killers? First stop Hamas, then world will talk.

Go first clean-up EU streets from "free Palestine", you're already proving that you're vandals. Muslims expected to be culturally rich and better people, but in fact it is not. You don't have ethics, you don't respect people in countries where you came. None of you learned language, none of you want to work. You live like parasites, say thanks to taxpayers. But soon or later this will end. The world does not owe you. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C3c5hTII684/

It's disgusting that Americans and American companies have double standards.
