a spring in the shape of an R
Very happy to see what you come up with.
We had a cute '50s-Sci-Fi-style ray-gun internally but this was deemed potentially offensive. Some kind of spring could be good. Or just something totally abstract.
Hi ๐๐ผ :)
I found the ray gun pretty nice. ๐๐ผ
Iโll think about it and send you something. Maybe with a spring or abstract I donโt know. Ahahahah.
If you need help on other part or you have a roadmap to share. Iโll be very happy to contribute. I already love atoms โ๏ธ.

hi ๐
Tell me what you think?
Neat @joshpitzalis I like it :)
I got some feedback from my side, so I made a new iteration:
I like not to bad
@jaredpalmer - really like this design
This looks awesome! ๐
@jaredpalmer I dig :) Sold on the emoji โ๏ธ๐
Wow, we have so many great logos to choose from. Thanks everybody! This is really heartening to see such enthusiasm.
Just to put another idea out there, I think a series of diagonal lines or curves could be a great logo. Coils when viewed from the side make a really interesting sinuous shape, some function that probably (I don't know) has both trig and polynomial terms. Looking at just one or two turns of the coil could make a really unique shape. Or a more abstracted version could just be some bold diagonal lines, yet still suggestive of that projection of a coil.
Like this:
(I searched so hard for an Attach button, turns out you just drag and drop. Amazing)
You could just flip mine vertically. But maybe too much like relay then.
Yeah, that exact rendering of the idea is too much like Relay.
Here's another idea, mainspring and escapement of a watch.
something like @davidmccabe?
Awesome!
Remind anyone else of Celtic knots?
@leonardoelias I like the first one. I feel like it loses the recoil connotation though. I suppose that's not a problem.
@davidmccabe Unfortunately, I was unable to come up with anything around the escapement. I'm spending too much time on this and have other things to do so I will leave you with a final, but unrelated idea, that I came up with of a slinky in the shape of a lowercase r.

The slinky reminds me of Stack Overflow ๐
Recoil.pdf this got me thinking of these toy coils :)
Edit: something like this; could also work as animated loader / icon
Looks like a slinky
Looks like a slinky That's the name, didn't know the english word for it, thanks
I actually created this logo while writing a blog post on Recoil Vs Redux . Let me know your thoughts on it ๐
After giving it some thought the slinky toy is not really "recoilling" so I tried the suggestions from @davidmccabe about the diagonals; pdf is attached, if someone wants to iterate feel free to take it apart. SVGs are here https://github.com/dkgrieshammer/recoil_logo
Wow some wonderful suggestions.
Mind doing a poll on a few that the core team picks?
Loving all the ideas! Sorry we've been so quiet on this thread lately, lots going on trying to get the library started and going in a good direction. We definitely appreciate all the prototypes and will have to figure out a good selection process once we have a chance to breathe. ;)
Hello,
Here is my idea for a very simple logo.
Thanks ๐
Thought I'd toss something out there!
Thanks everyone for submitting various proposals for the logos, they were all super appreciated! In the end we went with @graypegg's proposal.
An idea of a logo?
I can help if you want :)
