I wasted few hours fixing my matplotlib backend because I think the plot does show because of this widely-known issue. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/7534453/matplotlib-does-not-show-my-drawings-although-i-call-pyplot-show Only when reading the code in details can I see that
show_plot= False
by default. Then I propose to change this variable to True to not make others confused.
