Commercial definition? HuggingFace and Replicate showcase various models for demonstrative purposes, attracting more users to their services #348

Hello Audiocraft Team,

I am reaching out for clarification regarding the non-commercial use clause associated with the Audiocraft AI model, which is an open-source project by Facebook.

My query centers on the boundaries of 'non-commercial' use. Platforms like HuggingFace and Replicate showcase various models for demonstrative purposes, attracting more users to their services, which indirectly contributes to their commercial gains. Moreover, services such as Replicate charge users for executing APIs like musicgen.

Could such use-cases be considered commercial under the terms of Audiocraft's non-commercial license, given that they potentially facilitate commercial benefits for these platforms?

Any detailed explanation or guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated, as it would help in understanding the scope of permissible use of the Audiocraft AI model.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Best regards, Welly
