Purpose

As an engineer, I need to be able to provision and test infrastructure automatically and repeatably along with the application.

Approach

Deploy all infrastructure as code

• Leverage AWS for cheap and secure scalable development/testing
• Implement Terraform for infrastructure management
• Ensure all identifying characteristics of development assets are obfuscated behind environment variables
• Implement public subnets across us-east-1
• Implement private subnets across us-east-1
• Implement bastion architecture for secure resource access
• Need to solve the high-availability scenario for bastion servers if autoscaling creates new instances to prevent MITM
