Feedback to implement (by page)
Landing
Integrate the current home page with the landing page (as we talked about on Figma)
(new) Schema page
Contains: introduction explanation copy (provided by Kim), and schema diagram of process and available courses
First 2 Questions
remove
next
and change to
yes
and
no
buttons
make sure that it is obvious that the questions change
remove cartoon picture, and replace with child with kite (can be logo for now)
change color to blue
25 Questions (in separate pages)
include some more colors on the pages that are black and white. Maybe in the number icons?
ensure that the link at the end of the 'fine motor skills' section leads to the right place
each page needs small explanation copy at the top (to be provided by Kim)
be mindful of accessibility - fonts and colors
replace all serif fonts with sans serif fonts
3 options (pencil, motor skills, scissors)
Revise explanation copy (Kim)
Level Recommendation
no progress bar - people found it a bit confusing
Kim has level images on Teachable, we could use those instead
Individual Level Pages #10
User Testing Notes
Notes pre-user testing
consider removing the
next
button on initial two questions
change all serif fonts to sans serif
cartoon pictures should be removed or replaced with photos
Martina
when asked to create an account, started with clicking on and looking in log in page
wasn't immediately obvious when to check checkbox and when not to
questionnaire pages probably need a small explanation at the top of each - e.g. Please check the checkbox for each statement that is true
Sign up page:
"Please rate your child's current level ?" Needs to be rephrased
signup needs a back button
Profile page:
missing a timeframe for checking progress and goals
didn't know what the 40% progress bar was for
was reminded of the
seesaw app
which is used in schools for tracking progress
didn't know where she should go once she got to the main/profile page
wanted a separation of the profile and course
wanted somewhere that she could access the first 25 questions that she had answered
thought a lot about tracking progress over time
Kate (FAC)
interested in having a map of where to start
explaining options beforehand
didn't like having a profile pic - felt too "social media". Also probably not worth the development time
suggested building the profile then the quiz
Hilary
felt it wasn't obvious that the first two questions were different - maybe a change of colour?
could make the font a bit bigger
serif fonts are harder to read by dyslexic people
red text can be hard to read for colour blind people)
fact that you had to check the checkbox when the statement of true was obvious to her
some of the question pages felt a bit boring - could use more colour, maybe on the question numbers?
wanted to click on multiple options when given the 3 options (hopefully initial schema page will help)
level indication page shouldn't have name since we haven't asked yet
thought sign up should come earlier
the red background box felt hard on the eyes
menu
possibly would want to return to original answers
profile page not clear
