Change the Pre-Assign Feature

As a volunteer, I want to receive suggestions which missions would fit me based on my location, so that I can work as efficiently as possible.

The user story doesn't mention it but right now the app is pre-assigning people for missions that are near them. They still have to accept the mission resulting in a confusing combination of the "Unassign me" and "Accept" button right next to each other. The suggestion was, to stop pre-assigning people and just suggest missions for people to accept eliminating the "Unassign me" button from the left screen. While not tested with the latest usability test, the current state might cause frustration.

Unless things changed a lot recently I think the missions that you can unassign yourself from are ones that the organizer assigned you to the ones that you assigned yourself to in the past.

I definitely agree we should think about the idea of seeing missions that are recommended specifically for you in various ways.. That could be a whole screen I think it would be a really good one to think about.

But I can imagine a situation where let's say you volunteer to do something that's coming up in the future, like let's say a delivery or a working be on Saturday.. But then on Friday you realize you can't make it and you need to unassign yourself. Since the mission hasn't started you're not canceling You're just unassigning?

So if I understand correctly the first screen that I screenshotted would be a mission that was pre-assigned by the organization but now yet accepted by the volunteer? In that case we'd need to differentiate the "Unassign Me" function. I'd propose adding a button "Decline" on the left screen and keeping the "Unassign Me" for the right screen as the volunteer here is indeed already assigned.
