gps turns off when phone is locked

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. "screen always on" is disabled
or
1b. Phone is locked manually

What is the expected output? 
GPS logging continues
What do you see instead?
GPS stops working, and does not resume when the phone is unlocked. If I abandon 
the current track and start a new one, GPS works again.

What version of the product are you using (See "About" screen)?
v0.6.4

Make/model of your device, and Android version?
Samsung Galaxy S3 mini, Android 4.1.2.

Please provide any additional information below.
Logging while locked used to work on my previous, gingerbread phone.
