Cannot restart Open Refine after downloading rdf extension #80

I downloaded the rdf extensions and unzipped it to an extensions folder as per http://refine.deri.ie/installationDocs. I could then not restart Open Refine.

I tried deleting the extensions folder to revert back. I still can't open Open Refine and instead get stuck at:

[..y23.rdf.PopularPrefixes] Loading prefixes from /org/deri/any23/prefixes/prefixes.properties (562ms) [..ient.HttpMethodDirector] I/O exception (java.net.SocketException) caught when processing request: Malformed reply from SOCKS server (156676ms)

Then it keeps retrying request and I never get any further.

I now cannot open Open Refine.

Can you please advise how I can remove this extension and stop getting stuck when trying to open Open Refine. My priority is being able to use Open Refine and not getting this extension in place.

Hi,

Try also removing the folder called cache under Refine. It should be at the same level as the extensions folder.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply. I've actually now got Open Refine working from a reinstall (it took a long time - I think I just needed to wait a lot longer). I think I'll forget about adding any extensions for now!
