e.g. approximately 14 instead of 16 for an M8 bolt independent of preset overall length or custom thread, shank lengths greater zero are defined.

Perhaps related:

The head shank bevel transition looks like it's included in the length.

The mesh overshoot below the origin looks like an illusion because when scaled very close then it is fine.

Until this is fixed, this is another reason to use (link!) the bolts that worlddevelopment provides in repositories it maintains for some vendors, e.g. fasteners_befestigungsfuchs
