Navi-X 3.5.4 and up not work on XBMC_XBOX_30836 #73

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install unofficial XBMC_XBOX_30836 on Xbox
2. Install the latest Navi-X 3.5.4 or 3.6
3. Try to load Navi-X 3.5.4 or 3.6

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Navi would give an error and not load when it should have loaded, however
Navi-x 3.5.3 and below works no problem

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Xbox V1.0
unofficial XBMC_XBOX_30836
Navi-X 3.5.4 or 3.6

Please provide any additional information below.

Just a quick update

I finally got Navi-36 working perfectly on my Xbox, this is what I did

Load Avalanche dash
FTP into my Xbox
Backup my files downloads.plx, downlqueue.plx, favorites.plx from my old
version of Navi-X 3.5.3

Loaded XBMC run the program SVN Repro installer, selected Plug-in and
uninstalled Navi-X, then I selected Scripts and uninstalled Navi-X from there
as well.

Finally I Load Avalanche dash
FTP into my Xbox
Whent to folder XBMC/scripts and deleted the navi-x folder
Extracted the new Navi-X_v36 to my desktop, then FTPed the folder Navi-X from
the new Navi-X_v36 folder on my desktop.
Copied the above Backup files downloads.plx, downlqueue.plx, favorites.plx to
the navi-X folder.

And that was it all worked, from my understanding something must have changed
on Navi-x 3.5.4 and above that made it different so a simple update from Navi-X
on the xbox didn’t work and a new installation was required to work.

I have the debug log posted on the following link, have a look at it you may be
able to find out what was the problem

http://pastebin.com/ckRHud0h

Anyway thanks for the help, all is ok now thanks again for this cool app, if it
wasn’t for this app my Xbox probably would have been in my attic gathering
dust thanks for extending my xbox life

Reading Navi-X Settings failed on item 7. This stopped the script due to an
unhandled exception. I think Navi-X tried to read an old settings file which
contained less than 7 settings. I will improve the recovery for this error
situation.

Please let me know if the issue still exists on the latest nightly build of
XBMC and Navi-X 3.7.5 on Xbox. Thanks. Ticket closed.
