What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to right menu
2. click on Add Favorite
3. it add the playlist instead of the item highlithed ( which I prefer and
others reading the forum)

I can see why this is done. This was my reply to this question on a forum.
Reply : I hear what you are saying. You may have not notice this, but this is
intuitive behavior of Boxee. The reason (I think) is because Boxee basically
use only 2 buttons + d-pad. The back button and enter button.

If it was done your way. This gives an issue with view mode thumbnail. Since
you can't highlight every item. Boxee had to need a third (menu button) as
XBMC for your suggested approach. Hence why it is made this way.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
But somehow even boxee users find this not the expected behaviour. Funny. And
wish that they added the item to favorites rather than playlist.

To fix this I can think of 2 options :
option 1
Perhaps you could make 2 options when you select Add Favorite? Add item or
playlist to Favorite?

option 2 :
First you choose favorite on left menu. And than click on the item you wish to
add on favorite. Basically this works the same way as How you would (re)move
items on Boxee shortcut.

Please provide any additional information below.
This also counts of course for the option Rate Playlist and Block Playlist on
right menu. Since they work the same as Add Favorite.

Well this is more a design choice, in the old app everything worked by pressing
right in the new app there are 2 distinguished menu's.

- Right: will give you a menu for the active playlist
- Enter: will give you a menu for the selected item

This way the menu's are sorted clearly to the type it is destined for. I think
it is just something to get used to.

I will think about it if there are really many users who have trouble with it.
