cannot open web page:8081

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.When I try to open local file or eny other stream. Server is in same local 
area network so no port issues here... I think.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
video-stream / "connection failed" -error

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
vlc-shares_0.5.5alpha1-1_all.deb @ 64bit 11.10 Ubuntu Server

Dont know how or why but now it's trying to save or open a "stream" file. Can't 
open it with enything thou.

You need to open the stream URL with a video player if you want to play it.... 
or try to use the webkit rendered as GUI (it has a video player).
