Please provide more information:
Is 'Call Subversion libraries directly' on or off?
Which version of Subversion are you using?
Which version of Mac OS X are you using?
PPC or Intel?
Which view mode is active? (Tree, Flat or Smart)
Does this always happen? All working copies? Only specific WCs?
Are you running any unusual software?
Does this happen with svnX 1.2?
What does "doesn't work" mean?
Is the application still usable after this? Is the window usable? What text
is displayed directly to the left of the busy indicator? What happens if you
now do a manual refresh?
What does the Activity window show for the latest 'svn info' & 'svn status'
tasks?
Does `top` indicate that the 'svn' command is still running?
When this happens can you execute `sample svnX` and attach its output to your
response?

I discovered a problem with minimising a WC window while a refresh is underway.
As you haven't responded, I'm guessing that is what you saw.
This is now be fixed in svnX 1.3.
