No mouse functionality on phone touch screen within DSL Linux #15

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install DSL Linux
2. Tried with and without "Enable VM USB Mouse"
3. Loads the DSL DEsktop but can't get any mouse activty to work
4. Note that panning seems to work, though

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Mouse movement, ability to virtual left mouse select; can't get either to work.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

0.9.3; Samsung Android 2.3

Please provide any additional information below.

Cannot replicate this issue please provide more information.
Note: Mouse works in Trackpad mode only (swipe touch screen to move mouse
pointer, tap to left click, 2 finger tap to right click)

Using Samsung Exhibit II phone; single finger click does not appear to cause
any action but that may be because the mouse does not move (in inactive
location); swipe does not cause mouse to move. Two finger provides access to
"- [keyboard image] +". Tried activating mouse via panning/mouse toggle.
Panning does work.

Any set up issues for starting VM session that I should try to use to resolve?

Can you try an external VNC client and see if you can connect to the VM
remotely to port 5901?

Also try boot parameter 'nousb' and uncheck the "Enable VM USB Mouse" option.
This should force the mouse to emulate via ps/2 interface.

The "dsl nousb" and uncheck of "Enable VM USB Mouse" worked - all mouse
functions now work - thank you!!!
