Human rights violations icons

Hi,

Thanks for the great work done so far. 

I was wondering if you had considered creatinga set of icons showing
different types of human rights violations / international crimes sucgha s:
- murder
- rape
- abduction
- illegal detention
- torture
- looting/thefth

etc.

I am currently vreating maps showing where human right violations have been
committed but I have a hard time finding approrpiate icons.

Dear all,

This is a real good start, thank you so much for the efforts. Just to give you 
an
idea on which kind of map it could be used, have a look at

where I tried to represent the massacres that took place on 28 September in 
Conakry
and where several of your icons have been used to identify places of interest.

The icons for crime scene, theft and torture look really good. I have some 
concerns
with the icon for rape. Sometimes, men also get raped. You want probably to 
keep it
gender neutral. Frankly, that's probably the toughest icon to create. As for
abduction, I had a good laugh with the 1st version ;-) As for the 2nd version, 
the
serious one, well, the same comment as for rape is valid, it should be gender
neutral. Maybe a person with a black hood over his/her head would be better?  
And
what about illegal detention? Somebody behind bars maybe?

Ok, some other serious crimes which are also of international concern are:
- Wanton destruction
- Looting (thefth might do I guess)
- Deportation or Forcible transfer
- Persecution
- Enslavement
- Sexual enslavement
- Use of child soldiers

An icon to picture different types of attacks would also be of great 
assistance. It
could be:
- an attack against a civilian population
- attack against a civilian object
- an attack against protected personnel such as aid workers, or peacekeepers
- a confrontation or clash between armed groups or armies. 

Different type of warfare could also be pictured: 
- ground attack 
- aerial bombardment 
- use of artillery
- use of air force 
- tribal feuds
