How to get your icon to be default icon using GEO RSS in google maps? #229

Hi, I used your tutorial but it seems that the next icon is only the default
icon on placemarks I manually place. When I use GeoRSS or KML on a google map,
how can I designate a custom icon for all markers?

Hi,

I know this is a very old question from you but we on this Project have all
been busy with other projects, and work, the last year so there has just not
been any time to reply or update, until now. :-)

I'm sorry but I really don't understand what it is that you are trying to do?

Kind regards,

Matthias

I was using a geo rss feed to populate a map but any new addition did not
use the custom icon I made to pinpoint the location and instead used a
defailt google (blue or red place pointer) Is there a way to change it so
that it will use my custom place pointer for geo rss?

Thanks!

Hello

Can we see a sample of your geo rss ?

I see from this tutorial
http://www.viawindowslive.com/Articles/VirtualEarth/LoadingCustomIconsusingaGeoR
SSFeedV5.aspx that your need to specify an icon for every item :

Lakes Trailhead

This is where we started our hike, just down the road from the
visitor center. You could also start at the visitor center.

<geo:lat>46.2913246</geo:lat>
    <geo:long>-122.2658157</geo:long>
    <icon>http://dev.live.com/virtualearth/sdk/img/hiking_icon.gif </icon>

Does that help ?

Nico
