Image does not boot again after Restart !!! #74

Hi ! after 6 months ... I'v build again for DreamONE !

This is the same if I reboot at the end of Start Wizard without storing anything !!!

You have in /etc/enigma2/   a file "settings"This file contains all eninga2 enabled parameters !!! Your image must be build with config.crash.enabledebug=True 

the default is False !!! maybe thus the log after firstboor will have something significant !!! Mihai

Just use (Putty) ... Turn off electricity from your box > open Putty program > Turn on run electricity to your dreamone Then you will find the putty working copy the result and send to me !!

I found a way !!!In /usr/lib/enigma2/python there is a plugin file : StartEnigms.py ...and there I've set the debugto start in the same moment as Enigma2 !!! will see what will get !!!Modified in archive before flashing !!! Pe marți, 26 decembrie 2023 la 16:03:31 EET, RAED @.***> a scris:

I can not understand what you mean ?!!! 1-The boot image depend on kernel not on python... So It has nothing to do with Python either files (py) or (pyc) ... 2-It has nothing to do with enable debug log from log mamanger (Because debug starting when the e2 start working) and as you said image does not boot so the problem not from e2 it is from kernel or glibc ...

P.s: Some friend test dreamTwo image and he said as you said image does not boot after full reboot and image stuck on booting (BUT he can connect with FTP and telnet) !!

Your friend does not know what is talking ! he connects the box beforeFull Restart ! after that the box does not reboot so what he connects ? About the "debug" proposal ... is more than nothing ! we don't know theexact moment when the harm is done ! before or after starting Enigma2 !If the log will be OK .... that means that all happen before ! I can not understand what you mean ?!!! 1-The boot image depend on kernel not on python... As I said debug can not created without e2 runing ... If image does not boot then has nothing to do !

Image started normal ... start wizard then Restart GUI and extracted LOG files !!! See atachement !!!

P.S: There is no use for the logo when the image booting for the first time... I want a logo for the second boot, at which the image stops..

I'm trying to make a simple and fast backup of rootfs partition !and is not OK ! can you look a little ? what's wrong ? init 4 sync tar -czf /media/usb/rootfs.tgz /

Things are changing dynamically !The guys with GPT Plugin made a version compatiblewith OpenATV 7.3 so I can test easy images from you !!! test4.tar.bz2 was restored thru GPT Plugin ! and startedperfect ! except ... put a screen "This is a homebuild image based on OpenPLi"and stays there ! does not want to go further ! FTP an Telnet is working I have a log ! more than one ! Is OK what he display ?

So what I said earlier is the correct thing that the problem is from GPT, not the image ?!!! You can compile new image and test it (I updated the sources for core + e2) !!

 The Dream ONE/TWO rootfs partition must have Android type of boot !if Kernel rewrites as MBR ... that is the cause ! system won't boot from GPT  !!!The rootfs partition remains OK ! but his header is affected during first boot !you must see that ... My test procedure is like this !

1-Test 7 just for to test working (Because you said this)

this morning (30.12) building does not work due to some missing directory !

2-Still I'm not trying to fix boot image with gpt in test 7. 3-It is not about android boot issue ... That is Linux system not android ! 4-The problem is some packages from (openembedded-core) responsible for the mount boot. but I don't know exactly which one ?!! As you tested before OpenaTV 7.5 what I built and you said does not boot !! Because my source and openATV 7.5 branch using same latest update in (openembedded-core) .

I've compared the two log's before the error and after backup/restore ...from some point they are very different ! and at the end are in sync again !!!Use a mai client ,,, you have images atached !!

Not in the GPT ! I had some issues trying to exit from DreamOS GPT multibootand return to OpenATV multiboot ! @Gutemine just time bombed his new BL113 !witch is a punk attitude ! he is mad on some persons and harm the entire world !this is schizophrenia !!! OpenATV 7.4 still have some problems to install someplugins ... solved by opkg install --force-reinstall !!! Captain freeze his GPT scriptat 112G and secure it cutting all links with Gemini and Fury repo !!! Gutemineis "infecting" by a system plugin all the images in the Multiboot ! so I've rebuild from scratch !!! in one hour or less !!! Yes ! I have 2 Dream ONE ... the first 2*DVB-s2 witch was from the beginning in OpenATVGPT Multiboot ! and the second witch was in DreamOS Multiboot ! Your image was testedindependently in both ! same behavior !!! The very important discover is that backup/restore.is repairing the image !!! that means that something in the rootfs partition label was corrupted suring first boot ! the code saved and restored is OK !!!I've seen important differences between how is booting the image at first boot and atafter repair ! some of them is due to exclude of the Start Wizard ... but are some evenbefore that !!! Boot process is mounting repeatedly mmblk0p6 (rootfs) even before loadingit !!! is reading info from it ! if that was corrupted ... bye bye ! Please test this image test9 ... I have update some files in e2 ... after first boot .. look if start wizard works fine or crashing and also go to audio/video settings and help button and also information > about ... if any crash happens send to me please ...

The image does not boot at all !!! but ...FTP is working but no log was generated !From Telnet ...
