Basic documentation styles for API reference

We need a design for the bulk of the site which is the content of the documentation.

Here is a screenshot of what we have so far.

Important to concentrate on are:

• Left-hand menu style
• We will need to reinstate the right-hand sections menu (this bit from the current site) or alternatively adapt the left-hand menu (I'd like to see what it looks on the left, gives more space for content)
• Code blocks format (like this bit)
• Properties / Options blocks (like this or like this)

Inline demos and comments to be dealt with as part of separate issues.
