phone/whatsapp call issues (SM-G925F) #50

  1. either with wi-fi/data on/off: phone calls lag to give sound after pickup around 10s
  2. after ending phone/whatsapp calls it takes the phone about 20s-1min to react (neither home/power button or screen react)

I have upgraded to lineage OS 20 from 19 and I have noticed a significant improvement in the call quality and performance. I no longer experience any call stuck issue that was present in the previous version. The only issue that remains is the Bluetooth mic issue. I use whatsapp calls frequently and they work smoothly without any interruption or lag.

Hi. Thanks for taking this into account.

  1. Whatsapp calls no longer have issues;
  2. however from time to time, can't find a pattern yet, a regular phone call will take about 10 seconds to have sound (the call counter is ticking without lag during this time, which is why I know it takes about 10s).

edit: I wanted to add that (2) usually occurs with incoming calls

and my sim wasn't even working when I installed latest LOS 19.1 build, let me create new issue

I encounter the same issue with SM-G920F. Mostly with incoming calls, its duration is up to 30s (most people on the other side does not stand so long). No sound from me, no sound from the other side. I encountered the same issue in unofficial LineageOS 18.1 built by fwiep (thread on XDA developers https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-g920-5-f-i-s-k-l-t-w8-11-0-unofficial-lineageos-18-1.4266447/page-18), so it might be some common issue.

Please find attached log gathered by logcat. I have incoming call at 11:46. It lasts 8 seconds from the call start until I can hear the person on the other side.

This issue has been resolved in the latest 19.1 build. Can you confirm the issue is fixed?
