Quick Share doesn't work #85

Describe the bug

When i try to send or receive file from other phones, it shows nearby share is now quick share and needs update. Pressing update button does nothing, the prompt disappears.

Same when i want to share to other phones, pressing nearby share will cause the same prompt.

To Reproduce

  1. Go to Gallery
  2. Select 1 media
  3. Select share button
  4. Select nearby share

Hi thanks for reporting

This is a known issue for Samsung devices running LineageOS or AOSP stuff in general. The reason this occurs is because it expects the Galaxy Store to be installed, and it attempts to install Samsungs Quick Share from the Galaxy Store instead of the Play Store, which obviously doesn't work.

It is nothing I can fix specifically I don't think. Some people report that changing device fingerprints to something other than a Samsung device fixes this issue, though I have not tried that and am not particularly interested in implementing that work around as default.

This will remain as a "nofix" for now
