Crashes #4

Hi.

I have been using your program for a few weeks without issues, but now, every time I try to switch to any surround profile through your program, the computer crashes or enters sleep mode. I can still do it through the nvidia panel. Sometimes Helios works when I switch back to non-surround, but every surround attempt is a crash.

Any suggestions?

Great program, keep going :)

Hey Hiunkel,

Did you try removing the damaged profile and creating it again after applying the settings using the NVIDIA control panel? Maybe something changed on your system and the saved profile is somehow now, outdated. If nothing helped, please provide me the installed NVIDIA driver version (and NVIDIA control panel).

I have been testing your solution these days, and yes, problem solved.

Thank you so much. Your program is the only reason I didn't sold my 970 to buy an AMD card.

Happy to hear that. If you encountered the same problem again, please upload the profile config file before deleting the corrupted profile and after adding the correct one. You can find the DisplayProfiles_1.0.xml file here: %appdata%\HeliosDisplayManagement.Shared

Here you have: I haven't deleted the old ones yet, and all of them seems corrupted except the last 3 ones (the titled as 'new x' and the current one).

@Hiunkel So the "New 3x1" should be same as the original "3x1"? By going through your configuration file I have found that your monitors' device path has been changed.

Did you change something in the BIOS, or did any hardware change like swapping Graphic Card or simply adding a new device?

Hiunkel commented 6 years ago

With the original 3x1 I had crashses, but not with the "New" one. And yes, should be the same, it disables surround into 3 screens.

I didn't change the BIOS or added any hardware. And I updated the card drivers only when I started having problems, with no results. Right now I have no idea why it changed its path...
