Can't change window size to use unfolded features. #1261

Hi. I installed Roland SOUND Canvas VA with Wine 5.16 on my Manjaro box. And installed LinVST2 to use SOUND Canvas as a VST instrument. But when I use SOUND Canvas as Carla plugin, I can't use unfolded features because of the fixed window size. calra_fixed_window_bug Normally folded window size is to PART, FX and OPTION buttons at the bottom. The left SOUND Canvas is standalone with SAVIHost unfolding FX feature. And the right one is as Calra's plugin. The right window can't expand window to tweak parameters.

what carla version is this? I simply cant reproduce.

Thanks for your investigation. I firstly installed carla 2.1.1-1 and then build 2.2.0-RC3 though, still can't expand the window.

Using Carla version 2.2.0-RC3
  Python version: 3.8.5
  Qt version:     5.15.0
  PyQt version:   5.15.0
  Binary dir:     /usr/lib/carla
  Resources dir:  /usr/share/carla/resources

What is the version of soundcanvas you have? I think you just have to update it

SOUND Canvas version is 1.06(Build 1006).

I tried on another newly installed manjaro notebook, but the same problem has been occurred.

Using Carla version 2.1.1
  Python version: 3.8.5
  Qt version:     5.15.0
  PyQt version:   5.15.0
  Binary dir:     /usr/lib/carla
  Resources dir:  /usr/share/carla/resources

I'll try another distro, if I have a time.

I tested on a clean installed UbuntuStudio. The problem has occurred on UbuntuStudio. Carla_UbuntuStudio_Screenshot_2020-09-25_21-35-15

You need to try 2.2, I am not supporting 2.1 versions anymore

OK. I'll try with version 2.2.

On Deepin with Carla version 2.2.0-RC3, same result. Can't unfold window. 50382588786_74b55920ed_o

It took time to install and configure Fedora32 though, yet Carla version 2.2 can't unfold Sound Canvas window.

Have you tried updating your plugin version yet?

I purchased the Sound Canvas and download it from Roland. So version 1.06(Buidl 1006) is the latest version I think.
