carla 2.2.0 fails while being loaded on windows as a LV2 or VST plugin #1299

The official 2.2.0 build for windows x64 fails when loaded as lv2 or vst.

I'm using windows 10 x64 version 20H2 and I tried loading carla 2.2.0 both as a VST and LV2 on the official ardour 6.3.0 x64 free build (the one with the time limit) and also on Cockos Reaper 6.15 x64

Here's a video showing that the 2.1.1 LV2 version loads fine whereas the 2.2.0 does not.

I made another video showing how loading 2.1.1 as a VST on reaper succeeds while 2.2.0 fails (although even 2.1.1 shows some errors while scanning the plugin).
