MIDI feedback from plugins > controller? #903

Hey FalkTX, First of all, thanks for the great work on carla and related projects.

I'm setting up a audio plugin chain to control the effects for my custom built midi sequencer. After loading up some plugins and setting up the midi mapping, i was kinda disappointed that i could not load up config / turn knobs in carla and have the controller reflect this. Seems carla is not sending midi feedback to mapped CC knobs.

I found this thread from 2017, describes my problem perfectly. Has there been made any progress on this? https://forum.moddevices.com/t/midi-feedback-from-synths-controller/1023 (though i'm not using a "MOD", i'm on a arch linux install)

If you need an example of what i mean, just hookup a jack_midi_dump to amsynths midi output after assigning some midi cc to a knob, and turn it.

I know of the issue, but indeed carla does not handle this right now. Something to do later. Sorry, but I just do not have the hardware for this myself, so the priority for it gets very low.
