It makes sense why OOM had the Tempo map tab be visible by default since the main focus of OOM was composing orchestral movements which are inherently full of constant tempo changes, but in keeping consistent with most DAWs, it makes more sense and seems more useful for the majority of people, who use 1 tempo for the whole song, to have the Navigator visible by default instead
